However, if I slept on my stomach all night, I would probably want a firmer mattress. When I was stomach sleeping, the Casper Select was decently supportive. Because of this, I pushed pretty far into the mattress and felt some bunching up around my pressure points. Side sleeping, the Casper Select was not the best match for me. The combination of two soft layers with firmer support layers gives this mattress a decent balance of comfort and support. The industry standard medium-firm is 6.5, so this is just a bit firmer than average. On a firmness scale of 1-10, I put the Casper Select at a 7.
